Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
Children, Adolescents & Families
Pathways For Change Counseling Center | Emmaus, PA

Are you a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who believes medication should be part of a larger treatment plan—not the entire treatment plan?

Pathways For Change is a thriving, well-established outpatient counseling center serving children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families throughout the Lehigh Valley. We are seeking a compassionate and collaborative PMHNP to help us expand access to high-quality psychiatric care for the families we serve.

Unlike many medication-management positions, you won’t be working in isolation. You’ll join a multidisciplinary team of therapists who value communication, consultation, and coordinated care.

What Makes This Role Unique?

  • Established referral base from a team of experienced therapists
  • No need to build a caseload from scratch
  • Opportunity to work closely with clinicians specializing in anxiety, ADHD, trauma, autism, family systems, and play therapy
  • Strong administrative support
  • Beautiful office environment designed for children and families
  • Flexible schedule with the opportunity to grow the role over time
  • Opportunity to help shape and build a new psychiatric service line within a respected community practice

We’re Looking for Someone Who:

  • Is licensed (or license-eligible) as a PMHNP in Pennsylvania
  • Enjoys working with children, adolescents, and families
  • Values collaboration and consultation
  • Takes a thoughtful, conservative approach to prescribing
  • Communicates effectively with therapists, parents, schools, and other providers
  • Has an existing collaborating physician relationship or is willing and able to secure one

Responsibilities Include:

  • Psychiatric evaluations
  • Medication management
  • Diagnostic clarification
  • Treatment planning in collaboration with therapists
  • Coordination of care with schools, physicians, and other providers as appropriate
  • Participation in case consultation with our clinical team

Schedule:

We are open to discussing a part-time employee or independent contractor arrangement initially, with the opportunity to expand based on mutual interest and community need.

Why Pathways For Change?

For nearly two decades, Pathways For Change has been dedicated to helping children and families navigate life’s challenges with compassion, creativity, and clinical excellence. We believe the best outcomes occur when therapists and prescribers work together as a team. Our goal is to create an integrated behavioral health model where families can access therapy, psychiatric care, school support, and crisis intervention services in one trusted organization.

If you’re looking for a place where psychiatric care is integrated into a larger mission of helping children and families thrive, we’d love to hear from you.
