Part-Time Therapist/Counselor for Private Practice

Pathways for Change Children's Counseling Center is a well-established pediatric mental health practice dedicated to helping children, adolescents, and families thrive. We are seeking a compassionate, motivated Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or similar, or Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAPC) who is passionate about working with children and families and is looking for a supportive environment to begin and grow their clinical career.
Unlike many agencies, we offer free weekly individual supervision with experienced licensed clinicians and will help you build a full caseload. This is an excellent opportunity for an associate counselor who wants high-quality mentorship while developing strong clinical skills in a respected private practice.
Position Details
- Part-time position 15-20 hours per week with potential to transition to full-time at 25-30 hours per week.
- Part-Time Schedule includes:
- Mondays
- Tuesdays
- Fridays
- Potential Saturday availability
- Afternoon and evening availability is required to accommodate children and families after school hours.
Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient individual therapy to children and adolescents
- Conduct family sessions and collaborate with parents/caregivers
- Complete timely clinical documentation
- Develop individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with schools, physicians, and other providers as clinically appropriate
- Participate in weekly supervision and ongoing professional development
- Maintain ethical and professional standards in accordance with Pennsylvania licensing regulations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Counseling or related mental health field
- Current Pennsylvania LPC, LMFT, LSW, LCSW or Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAPC) credential/or eligible to apply for the LAPC
- Eligible to work in Pennsylvania
- Strong interest in pediatric mental health
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently while benefiting from supervision
- Experience with children and families is preferred
